Colin Barrett (1982) nació en Canadá pero pasó su infancia y adolescencia en Knockmore, un pueblo del condado de Mayo (Irlanda). Estudió escritura creativa en el University College de Dublín y ganó en 2009 el premio Penguin Irlanda.
