Biografía del autor

Lucy Knisley va néixer a Nova York, on va passar la seva infantesa i la seva adolescència llegint còmics, tot i les objeccions dels seus pares. Per a la Lucy, els còmics sempre l'han ajudat a combinar les seves dues grans passions: la paraula escrita i la imatge dibuixada. Va passar els anys de formació treballant per a la seva mare en una cuina de càtering, tenint cura del servei de les taules i atenent els compradors en una parada al mercat local, experiències que li van ser útils per inspirar-se en la seva novel-la gràfica RELISH: La meva vida a la cuina. Va estudiar a la School of the Art Institute of Chicago i en The Center for Cartoon Studies. Els seus treballas s'han publicat en diverses antologies i publicacions, i en alguns títols de Marvel i Valiant.
