Vigdis Hjorth (Oslo, 1959) Es una de las novelistas noruegas más importantes de la actualidad. Ha vivido en Oslo, Copenhague, Bergen, Suiza y Francia. Estudió Filosofía, Ciencias Políticas y Literatura. Con La herencia (2016), ganadora del Premio de los Libreros de Noruega, Premio de la Crítica y nominada para el prestigioso Premio de Literatura del Consejo Nórdico, ha sido su libro más exitoso.
