Marie Lu, tras licenciarse en la Universidad del Sur de California, trabajó en la industria en los videojuegos para Disney Interactive Studios. Actualmente reside en Los Ángeles, donde se dedica íntegramente a la escritura. Entre 2011 y 2013 publicó la trilogía Legend y entre 2014 y 2016, la de Los Jóvenes de la Élite. Con Warcross (Nocturna, 2018) inicia una serie sobre videojuegos y realidad virtual que concluye en Wardraft (Nocturna, 2019). La bilogía ha figurado durante meses en la lista de best sellers del New York Times y va a publicarse en más de una docena de idiomas.
