They created their own legend and remained faithful to it until the very end! A young German woman named Gerta Pohorylle and a young Hungarian man named Endre Friedmann meet in Paris in 1935.

Both Communists, Jewish, exiled, and photographers, they decide to change their names in order to sell their work more easily, and so they become Gerda Taro and Robert Capa. With these new identities, they travel to Spain and begin to document the Spanish Civil War. Two years later, tragedy will befall them -- but until then, theirs is a romance for the ages.

Based on the true story of these legendary figures and set to be the next film by award-winning director Michael Mann, with Eva Green starring as Taro, WAITING FOR ROBERT CAPA is a moving tribute to all journalists and photographers who lose their lives to show us the world's daily transformations.

Susana Fortes (Pontevedra) es escritora y articulista de prensa. Durante años ha impartido clases de Historia del Arte en Valencia. En la actualidad colabora en cursos y talleres de escritura creativa en diversas universidades.<br> Autora, entre otras novelas, de Querido Corto Maltés (Premio Nuevos Narradores 1994), Las cenizas de la Bounty (Espasa, 1998), Fronteras de arena (finalista del Premio Primavera 2001) y El amante albanés (finalista del Premio Planeta 2003). También ha publicado el cuaderno de cine Adiós, muñeca (Espasa, 2002), El azar de Laura Ulloa (Premio de la Crítica en la Comunidad Valenciana, 2006), Quattrocento (Planeta, 2007) y Esperando a Robert Capa (Premio Fernando Lara de Novela 2009), que ha sido traducida a más de 15 idiomas. <br> Sus últimas obras publicadas son Septiembre puede esperar (Planeta, 2017), el libro de recuerdos Tal como éramos (Ézaro, 2021) y la novela de intriga Nada que perder (Planeta, 2022), ambientada en su Galicia natal.
