Kirsty nació y se crio en un pueblecito del condado de Gran Mánchester. En el año 2016, la revista literaria The Bookseller la incluyó en su lista de jóvenes promesas y, aunque ha sido editora, ahora se dedica en exclusiva a escribir libros que hacen reír a carcajadas y llorar a moco tendido a los lectores. Le chifla el teatro musical y en la actualidad está trabajando en una nueva comedia romántica musical, así como en más novelas.
