Biografía del autor

Montserrat Roig (Barcelona, 1946-1991) fue periodista y escritora. Comprometida con el feminismo, el progresismo y la lucha antifranquista, fue autora de novelas, cuentos, ensayos, reportajes y artículos periodísticos. Colaboró en medios como El País, La Calle o Avui y destacó como entrevistadora en el programa de televisión Personatges, del circuito catalán de TVE. En 1970 publicó su primera novela, Molta roba i poc sabó... i tan neta que la volen, con la que ganó el Premio Víctor Català. En 1976 obtuvo el premio Sant Jordi con El temps de les cireres y en 1978 el premio de la Crítica Serra d'Or para el mejor reportaje histórico por Els catalans als camps nazis, que se publicó en castellano ya en 1979. En 1986 se le concedió el Premio Nacional de Literatura Catalana de ensayo, otorgado por la Generalitat de Catalunya, por Lx{0026} x02019;agulla daurada.
