Biografía del autor

Catherine Barr estudió ecología en la Universidad de Leeds y se formó como periodista. Trabajó en Greenpeace International durante siete años como defensora de la vida silvestre y la silvicultura, y mantiene un gran interés por los problemas ambientales. Mientras trabajaba como editora en el Museo de Historia Natural, escribió su primer libro, La historia de la vida (en colaboración con el Museo), después de buscar en vano un libro sencillo sobre la evolución para sus hijos. Fue preseleccionado por la Asociación Inglesa y seleccionado por la Asociación de Bibliotecas Escolares en 2016. Ahora ha escrito más de 25 libros ilustrados de no ficción y visita escuelas de todo el Reino Unido para impartir talleres sobre evolución, especies en peligro de extinción y muchos otros temas que inspiran sus libros.
