But as their love for the snow child and for the land she opens up to them grows, so too does their awareness that it, and she, may break their hearts

Biografía del autor

Nació y se crio en Alaska, donde continúa viviendo con su familia. Tras trabajar casi una década como librera y como periodista local, a partir de 2012 pasó a dedicarse exclusivamente a la escritura. Su debut literario, La niña de nieve (2012; Hoja de Lata, 2024) fue traducido a veintiséis idiomas y se convirtió inmediatamente en un superventas internacional. Con él fue finalista del Premio Pulitzer en 2013 y Autora del Año en los National Book Awards británicos ese mismo año. Su segunda novela, To The Bright Edge of The World (2016), fue Mejor Libro del Año en Amazon y estuvo nominada a una Medalla Carnegie de Ficción. La autora ha publicado también relatos y artículos en numerosos medios, entre ellos The New York Times Book Review, The Wall Street Journal o el London's Observer Magazine. Su última novela, Bosques negros, cielo azul (Hoja de Lata, 2025) se inspira, una vez más, en el folklore de los cuentos de hadas y en los hermosos e inhóspitos paisajes de su Alaska natal.
