P Rosamunde Pilcher (1924-2019) fue una de las autoras británicas más populares y más apreciadas en su género, escribió varias colecciones de relatos y una larga lista de novelas, pero sin ninguna duda, su obra más conocida y más querida fue siempre la novela I Los buscadores de conchas /I , destacada en listas de best sellers de todo el mundo durante mucho tiempo y cuyas ventas -a día de hoy- siguen siendo excelentes año tras año. Vivió en Perthshire, Escocia, rodeada por los maravillosos paisajes que caracterizan sus libros, con su marido Graham, hasta que falleció a los 94 años.<br>
