Jimena Canales es doctora de Historia de la ciencia por la Universidad de Harvard, donde ejerce como investigadora. Su trabajo se centra en mejorar la comprensión de la ciencia y la tecnología en relación con las artes y las humanidades. Entre sus publicaciones destacan A Tenth of a Second: A History, nombrado como uno de los mejores libros sobre el tiempo por The Guardian, y El físico y el filósofo, sobre las figuras de Albert Einstein y Henri Bergson.
