Biografía del autor

Simone Weil (1909x{0026} x02013;1943) fue una filósofa, activista y mística francesa. Estudió en la École Normale Supérieure, y destacó desde joven por su brillantez intelectual y su compromiso radical con la justicia. Trabajó como profesora, participó en movimientos obreros, se implicó en la Guerra civil española y vivió voluntariamente las condiciones del trabajo fabril para comprender el sufrimiento humano desde dentro. En sus últimos años, desarrolló una intensa reflexión espiritual sin una adscripción religiosa formal. Murió a los 34 años en el exilio dejando una obra breve pero esencial que sigue interpelando con fuerza al pensamiento contemporáneo.
