Biografía del autor

Emily Gunnis supo que quería ser escritora a los catorce años, cuando su madre, la autora best seller Penny Vincenzi, publicó su primer libro. Penny solía comentar con su hija los personajes que creaba y, cuando se atascaba con alguna trama, también trabajaban juntas para dar con una solución. Treinta años después, Emily descubrió que escribir libros era mucho más difícil de lo que su madre le hacía ver. Tras licenciarse en Periodismo en 1997, Emily comenzó a escribir guiones y le encargaron dos episodios de la serie Doctors para la BBC. En esa misma época, mientras trabajaba también como asistente personal, estudió Creación Literaria y se embarcó en la escritura de su primera novela, La chica de la carta, que vendió casi medio millón de ejemplares y se tradujo a diecisiete idiomas. Emily vive en Sussex (Reino Unido) con su marido y sus dos hijas; una de ellas también quiere ser escritora y la otra, artista.
