Biografía del autor

Andreï Makine nació en Siberia en 1957. En 1987 obtuvo asilo político en Francia y se dedicó a escribir mientras enseñaba literatura rusa en la École Normale y Science Po. Todas sus novelas han sido traducidas a numerosos idiomas. En 1995 Makine ganó el Premio Goncourt y el Premio Médicis por El testamento francés y en 2005 mereció el premio de la Fundación Prince Pierre de Mónaco por el conjunto de su obra.
