Born in Philadelphia, R. Crumb is the author of numerous comic works and one of the pioneers of underground comics. His books include Kafka, The Complete Crumb Comics (17 volumes), The R. Crumb Sketchbook (10 volumes), R. Crumb Draws the Blues, The Book of Mr. Natural, the 1 New York Times bestseller The Book of Genesis Illustrated by R. Crumb, R. Crumb: The Complete Record Cover Collection, and many more. He lives in the south of France with his wife, the artist Aline Kominsky-Crumb.

Robert Crumb (Filadelfia, 1943) es el dibujante más importante del cómic underground norteamericano. Más conocido por su inconfundible narración y su temática sin concesiones, es el creador de Devil Girl, Mr. Natural, Zap Comics, la icónica viñeta de x{0026} x0201C;Keep on Truckinx{0026} x02019;x{0026} x0201D; de las camisetas, el diseño de la portada del álbum Cheap Thrills de Big Brother x{0026}amp; the Holding Co. (con Janis Joplin), y el gato Fritz, protagonista de los polémicos dibujos para adultos del animador Ralph Bakshi. Crumb, documental galardonado y dirigido por Terry Zwigoff, le convirtió en una figura de la cultura pop establecida tan a su pesar que acabó emigrando. En la actualidad vive en Francia.
