Biografía del autor

Nació en Boston, en 1925. Estudió francés en Harvard donde compartió habitación durante dos años con el famoso poeta Frank Ox{0026} x02019;Hara. Gorey siempre llamó la atención por su aspecto y sus excentricidades. En 1953 se mudó a Nueva York y empezó a trabajar como diseñador de portadas para las reediciones de clásicos modernos en la editorial Doubleday. Su autora preferida era Jane Austen. En 1953, también, escribió, ilustró y publicó su primera obra. Murió el 15 de abril de 2000.
