p strong Frode Grytten /strong (Bergen, 1960) creció en la ciudad fabril de Odda. Escritor polifacético, inició su carrera como periodista en em Bergens Tidende /em , uno de los periódicos más antiguos y prestigiosos de Noruega. En 1984 publicó el poemario em Start /em , y desde entonces ha escrito cuentos, novelas, poesía, literatura infantil, ensayos, libros de viajes, de suspense y obras de teatro.
