Peter Brook (Londres, 1925) se graduó en Artes en Oxford, en donde fundó la Oxford University Film Society. Director del International Centre of Theatre Research (en el teatro Bouffes du Nord), que fundó en París en 1971, de sus más de cincuenta montajes destacan La tempestad, El rey Lear, Edipo, Marat/Sade o el Mahabharata y de sus libros sobre teatro, El espacio vacío, Más allá del espacio vacío, El punto de inflexión y La puerta abierta.
