NANCY SPRINGER ha escrito tanto para adultos como para niños y jóvenes. Nació en Montclair, Nueva Jersey, y se trasladó con su familia a Gettysburg cuando tenía trece años. Pasó los siguientes cuarenta y seis años de su vida en Pensilvania, donde tuvo a sus dos hijos y se dedicó a escribir, pescar, montar a caballo y a observar pájaros. Desde 2007 reside en Florida, donde se la puede encontrar pescando y disfrutando de la naturaleza.
