Karine Tuil publicó su primera novela, "Pour le pire", en el año 2000. "Lx{0026} x02019;Invention de nos vies (2013) o Lx{0026} x02019;Insouciance (2016), traducida a diversas lenguas, son algunos de sus trece títulos. Sus libros exploran las ambigüedades del ser humano y abordan a menudo temas sociales entre los que se destacan la identidad, las relacions netre hombres y mujeres, el determinismo social, el terrorismo. Algunos de sus títulos han sido adaptados al cine y al teatro. En enero de 2023 publicó también con Gallimard su primera colección de poesía, Kaddish pour un amour.
