Biografía del autor

De la vida de Lao-Tse tan solo se conocen algunos datos legendarios. Fue bibliotecario en la corte imperial de los Chew, un cargo casi sacerdotal. Según la tradición, hastiado de la decadencia de las costumbres de sus conciudadanos, se alejó para siempre en dirección a occidente, montado sobre un carabao azul. Fue el guardián de la frontera quien le obligó a escribir este tratado, el Tao Te Ching. <br> <br> Luis Racionero es ingeniero industrial y economista. Realizó además estudios de urbanismo en Berkeley (California). Entre sus muchas obras destacan Textos de estética taoista, Del paro al odio (Premio Anagrama de Ensayo), El progreso decadente (Premio Espasa Ensayo) o La cárcel del amor (Premio Azorín)
