Roger Lancelyn Green (Norwich, 1918-Bebington, 1987) se aficionó a los mitos y leyendas en sus años de estudiante en la Universidad de Oxford. También le fascinaron las obras de teatro clásicas y la reelaboración de los mitos antiguos.
