Jonathan Haslamocupa la cátedra George F. Kennan en la Escuela de Estudios de Historia del Instituto para Estudios Avanzados de Princeton. También es miembro del Corpus Christi College de Cambridge y profesor emérito de la Cambridge University. Ha escrito numerosas obras sobre diversos temas como la historia del Imperio, Nixon o la guerra fría.
