IAN RANKIN (Cardenden, 1960) es uno de los escritores con más carácter de la novela negra actual y su personaje, John Rebus, uno de los policías más carismáticos del género. En 1987, inició con x{0026}lt;i Nudos y crucesx{0026}lt;/i la aclamada serie de novelas ambientadas en su Escocia natal, que está siendo publicada por RBA. Con x{0026}lt;i Asuntos internosx{0026}lt;/i dio comienzo a una nueva saga protagonizada por el inspector Malcolm Fox.
