Ramses II, the Son of the Light, is about to reach his coronation. Christian Jacq nació en París en 1947. Se doctoró en Egiptología en la Sorbona. Obtuvo el Premio de la Academia francesa con El Egipto de los grandes faraones. Gran conocedor y enamorado de Egipto, ha escrito numerosas obras de divulgación histórica que ponen al alcance del gran público la civilización egipcia, como es el caso de Las egipcias y La sabiduría viva del antiguo Egipto, en esta misma colección. Editorial Planeta ha publicado también con un éxito rotundo la trilogía El juez de Egipto, compuesta por las novelas La pirámide asesinada, La ley del desierto y La justicia del visir, así como la pentalogía dedicada a Ramsés.
