Catherine Belton es corresponsal de investigación para Reuters, el mayor medio de comunicación multimedia del mundo. Trabajó de 2007 a 2013 como corresponsal en Moscú para el Financial Times. Anteriormente había realizado reportajes sobre Rusia para The Moscow Times y Business Week. En 2009, fue preseleccionada como Periodista de negocios del año por los British Press Awards y en 2021 fue galardonada con el Premio Magnitsky, que distingue a periodistas y activistas que luchan contra la corrupción. Vive actualmente en Londres.
