Nicholas Shakespeare nació en 1957.Hijo de un diplomático, pasó buena partede su juventud en el Extremo Oriente ySudamérica. Se ha desempeñado comoperiodista para la BBC y como editorliterario en The Times, The Daily Telegraph,y The Sunday Telegraph.
