but it's all there is. The next morning in the city clerk's office, Reacher asks about the old family home. He's told no one named Reacher ever lived in that town.

He knows his father never went back. Now he wonders, was he ever there in the first place? So begins another nailbiting, adrenaline-fuelled adventure for Reacher. The present can be tense, but the past can be worse.

Lee Child nació en Inglaterra en 1954. Es autor de veintiocho novelas policiales, entre ellas Oblígame, Mañana no estás, Escuela nocturna y El asunto, y numerosos relatos y ensayos, entre ellos El héroe, también publicado por Blatt x{0026}amp; Ríos. Su personaje, Jack Reacher, ha sido llevado al cine y adaptado a una serie en Amazon Prime. Sus libros fueron traducidos a medio centenar de idiomas y lleva vendidos más de cien millones de ejemplares en todo el mundo. Decidió dedicarse a la literatura después de quedarse desempleado debido a una reestructuración en una cadena de televisión británica. Actualmente vive en Estados Unidos.
