Biografía del autor

(Nueva York, Estados Unidos, 1959).<br>Pintor e ilustrador neoyorkino que -antes de crear Olivia- había ilustrado numerosas cubiertas para la revista The New Yorker. También es conocido por sus diseños de escenografía y vestuario para el New York City Ballet, la Ópera de San Francisco y Covent Garden, entre otras. Todo lo cual explica el homenaje que hace en Olivia al mundo de la danza clásica y a la obra plástica de Pollock y Degas. El uso minimalista y efectivo del color (solamente un pequeño detalle rojo en las ilustraciones resueltas con grises) da un toque elegante y original a su obra que bien podemos considerar ya como un clásico del nuevo milenio. Olivia es su primer personaje de cuentos para niños.
