Biografía del autor

Wade Davis (Canadá, 1953) es antropólogo, etnobotánico, escritor, fotógrafo y cineasta. En la actualidad, junto con otros seis científicos, forma parte del programa Exploradores residentes de la National Geographic Society que además, lo designó como uno de los Exploradores del milenio. Ha sido descrito como una rara combinación de científico, estudioso, poeta y defensor apasionado de toda la diversidad de la vida . Su trabajo se ha enfocado en las culturas nativas de diferentes partes del mundo. Entre sus obras destacan: Passage de la Oscuridad (1988), La serpiente y el arco iris (1986) y El río (2004). También ha publicado numerosos artículos en revistas como Outside, National Geographic, Fortune, Men s Journal y Condé Nast Traveler.
