Escriptor anglès, Peter Bently va estudiar diversos idiomes a Oxford i és conegut pels seus llibres infantils. Es va especialitzar en escriptura per a nens en Totleigh Barton dirigit per l'excel-lent Fundació Arvon. Al llarg de la seva carrera ha guanyat premis com el Roald Dahl Funny Prize, Carmelite Picture Book Prize i The *Childrenx{0026} x02019;s Book Award l'any 2022 amb Octopus Shocktopus! (Un pop al teulat! per Editorial Corimbo).
