x{0026}lt;p Nacido en Sacramento (California) en 1974, Adrian Tomine empezó autopublicándose una serie llamada x{0026}lt;em Optic Nervex{0026}lt;/em cuando tenía 16 años. Al cumplir los 20, la editorial Drawn x{0026}amp; Quarterly le hace su primera oferta y se publica x{0026}lt;em Shortcomings, x{0026}lt;/em con éxito rotundo de crítica y público. Sus cómics se han recopilado en antologías tales como McSweeney's, Best American Comics y Best American Nonrequired Reading. Desde 1999, Tomine trabaja regularmente para New Yorker, aportando su particular estilo para más de 50 portadas ya consideradas clásicas.
