Biografía del autor

Juan Ramón Muñoz Sánchez, doctor en Filología Hispánica por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, es en la actualidad profesor en la Universidad de Jaén. Su principal línea de investigación la constituye la literatura española del Siglo de Oro especialmente Cervantes, Lope de Vega, la novela picaresca y las relaciones hispano italianas , a la que ha dedicado la mayor parte de sus estudios, como Estudios de Literatura del Siglo de Oro (2018) o La Galatea, una novela de novelas (2021). Se ha ocupado también en profundidad de las literaturas grecolatina, medieval y prerrenacentista europeas, así como de la recepción del legado clásico en los siglos XIV-XVII, resultado de lo cual son su historia de amor de Homero a Cervantes, De amor y literatura: hacia Cervantes (2012), y su ensayo El incesto, un tema de origen clásico, en Shakespeare, Lope de Vega y Racine (2016).
