Arthur Gordon Pym is eighteen years old and wants to become a sailor. With the help of his friend Augustus, he hides on the ship and thanks to this he sets off on a long sea journey, during which he meets pirates, a ghost ship and visits numerous islands to finally reach Antarctica. The rich graphic design (including illustrations made by renowned illustrators of world-renown books) is an excellent visual commentary to the presented story and promotes a better understanding of the vocabulary and expressions found in the text.The book is an excellent tool consolidating the language competences and skills of young people and adults, including reading, listening, writing and speaking.
