Biografía del autor

José Luis Piquero (Mieres, Asturias, 1967) ha publicado los libros de poemas Las ruinas (1989), El buen discípulo (1992) y Monstruos perfectos (1997), todos ellos reeditados en el volumen Autopsia. Poesía reunida, 1989-2004 (2004). Posteriormente ha publicado El fin de semana perdido (2009), Cincuenta poemas. Antología personal, 1989-2014 (2014) y Tienes que irte (2017). Figura en una docena de antologías de la poesía española contemporánea. Premio Ojo Crítico de Radio Nacional de España, Premio de la Crítica de Asturias, dos veces finalista del Premio Nacional de la Crítica. Ha traducido cerca de cien libros de narrativa, poesía y ensayo, incluyendo a autores como Lord Byron, Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, Robert L. Stevenson, Joseph Conrad, Herman Melville, Stephen Crane, Henry James, Edith Wharton, Mary Butts, Francis Scott Fitzgerald, John Steinbeck, Erskine Caldwell, George Orwell, Dalton Trumbo, Henry Miller, Aldous Huxley, Denise Levertov, Paul Metcalf, Hubert Selby, Jr. o Simone Weil, entre otros.
