Biografía del autor

Nacida en 1973, durante la guerra de Vietnam, Nguyen Phan Que Mai creció siendo testigo de la devastación de la guerra y sus secuelas. Impulsada a escribir por la paz, es una escritora galardonada en vietnamita e inglés, autora de doce libros de poesía, ficción y no ficción. Sus obras se han traducido y publicado en más de veinte países. Sus escritos en vietnamita han recibido el Poetry of the Year Award en 2010 de la Asociación de Escritores de Hanoi, el Capital's Literature x{0026}amp; Arts Award y el primer premio en el concurso de poesía para conmemorar los mil años de Hanoi. Sus obras en inglés han recibido los premios The BookBrowse Best Debut Award, International Book Awards, PEN Oakland/Josephine Miles Literary Award, Lannan Literary Award Fellowship for Fiction, y quedó semifinalista del Dayton Literary Peace Prize.
