Enrique Vila-Matas is widely considered to be one of the most important contemporary Spanish novelists, and Dublinesca has been declared his masterpiece. Nació en Barcelona en 1948. Es uno de los más destacados escritores eu- ropeos del momento y su obra, que incluye novelas, ensayos y géneros híbridos, se ha traducido a más de una treintena de idiomas. Entre otros premios, ha obtenido el Rómulo Ga- llegos y el Médicis.
