"There he lay looking as if youth had been half-renewed, for the white hair and moustache were changed to dark iron-grey, the cheeks were fuller, and the white skin seemed ruby-red underneath; the mouth was redder than ever, for on the lips were gouts of fresh blood, which trickled from the corners of the mouth and ran over the chin and neck. Even the deep, burning eyes seemed set amongst the swollen flesh, for the lids and pouches underneath were bloated. It seemed as if the whole awful creature were simply gorged with blood; he lay like a filthy leech, exhausted with his repletion."

x{0026}lt;P x{0026}lt;B Abraham Stokerx{0026}lt;/B nació en Dublín, Irlanda, en 1847. Tras realizar sus estudios en la universidad de dicha ciudad, trabajó durante diez años como funcionario y crítico teatral hasta que se marchó a Inglaterra en 1876. Allí trabajó como secretario y representante del actor sir Henry Irving, con quien dirigió el Lyceum Theatre de Londres. Escribió numerosos libros, entre los que se cuenta su novela x{0026}lt;I La dama del sudariox{0026}lt;/I (1909), así como varios relatos. x{0026}lt;I Drácula x{0026}lt;/I (1897), su clásica novela de terror, creó el personaje del vampiro de Transilvania, que al día de hoy ha inspirado incontables versiones, continuaciones y películas. Bram Stoker falleció en 1912.x{0026}lt;/P
