Biografía del autor

Alessandro Barbero, escritor y profesor de Historia Medieval en la Universidad de Piamonte Oriental, es uno de los más reputados historiadores italianos. Ha publicado numerosos libros, entre los que destacan los ensayos La batalla. Historia de Waterloo (2004) y Dante (2021), así como la novela histórica Diario de Mr. Pyle. Venturas y desventuras de un gentilhombre americano en las guerras napoleónicas (1996), por la que obtuvo el Premio Strega, el máximo galardón literario de Italia.
