Biografía del autor

Alister McGrath nació en Belfast (Irlanda del Norte) en 1953. Estudió en las Universidades de Oxford donde obtuvo tres doctorados en Biofísica molecular, Teología y Letras y Cambridge. Ha sido catedrático de Teología en el Gresham College de Londres, cargo creado en 1597, y de Teología histórica en la Universidad de Oxford. Actualmente es profesor emérito de Ciencia y religión en esta universidad. Ha pronunciado las conferencias Bampton en la Universidad de Oxford, las conferencias Hulsean en la de Cambridge y las conferencias Gifford en la de Aberdeen. Es sacerdote anglicano. Entre sus numerosas obras destacan su trilogía A Scientific Theology, compuesta por Nature, Reality y Theory, 2007; Darwinism and the Divine, 2011; Historical Theology, 2012; Science and Religion, 2013; y Dawkins' God: Genes, Memes, and the Meaning of Life, 2013.
