Biografía del autor

Vicente Muñoz Puelles nació en 1948 en Valencia. Desde muy joven se dedicó a la literatura. Su abundante producción abarca distintos géneros (novelas, relatos, ensayos...). Ha recibido, entre otros, el Premio Azorín (1993), con x{0026}lt;i La emperatriz Eugenia en Zululandia,x{0026}lt;/i y el Premio Alfons el Magnánim de narrativa (2002), con x{0026}lt;i Las desventuras de un escritor en provinciasx{0026}lt;/i . De sus incursiones en la literatura infantil y juvenil, podemos destacar el Premio Nacional (1999), con x{0026}lt;i Óscar y el león de Correos,x{0026}lt;/i el Premio Anaya de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil, que obtuvo dos veces, con x{0026}lt;i El arca y yox{0026}lt;/i (2004) y x{0026}lt;i La voz del árbolx{0026}lt;/i (2014), y el Premio Libreros de Asturias, con x{0026}lt;i La perronax{0026}lt;/i (2005). Ha publicado biografías de Colón, Goya, Ramón y Cajal, Darwin, Dickens, Marie Curie, Einstein y Shakespeare. Estudioso del x{0026}lt;i Quijotex{0026}lt;/i y traductor, ha realizado ediciones críticas y ha sido traducido a numerosos idiomas. Formó parte del Consejo Valenciano de Cultura desde 1999 hasta 2018, y fue distinguido con el Premio de las Letras de Generalitat Valenciana en 2018, en reconocimiento a su trayectoria.
