Paul Roberts es jefe de investigación del Departamento de Antigüedades en el Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology en Oxford. Ha comisariado numerosas exposiciones populares, entre ellas, Vida y muerte en Pompeya y Herculano en el British Museum en 2013 y Última Cena en Pompeya en el Ashmolean en 2019-2020.
