Olen Steinhauer (Virginia, 1970) su curiosidad y espíritu nómada le llevó a irse a vivir a Europa, y residió en Croacia, República Checa, Italia y Rumanía. Durante su estancia en Bucarest escribió El puente de los suspiros (publicado por RBA), finalista del Ellis Peters Historical Dagger Award y del Edgar Award, entre otros premios, la primera de una serie cinco novelas sobre la Guerra Fría en los países del Este. Es fundador de la web Comtemporary Nomad. RBA ha publicado el primer volumen de la serie de Milo Weaver, El turista (SN, 174).
