An evening of music, poetry and fun to remember the First World War this Friday at St. George's Anglican Church in Madrid
La senda de Sulus, a Historic Association, celebrates Remembrance Day this Friday with a festival of poetry and music. The event pays hommage to those who died in the Fields of Flanders during the Great War, and takes place as part of the acts which commemorate the Centenary of the War.
The programme includes a reading of war poetry, a concert with British and Spanish singers who will perform music from the battlefront, and an exhibition of photographs from the First World War. Tosca Penninkcx, a virtuoso trumpet player, will close the evening with the interpretation of her new piece, "The Last Post".
Tickets are running out fast, so it's recommended to buy them as soon as possible. The price (€ 30) includes beers, gin tonics, foodies, presents, and more.
