Biografía del autor

Roald Dahl (1916-1990) cando estalou a Segunda Guerra Mundial incorporouse como piloto de combate á Forza Área británica. Un accidente aéreo retírao do servicio e permítelle dedicarse á creación literaria. Novelas e contos para adultos, guións cinematográficos e, sobre todo, a súas obras para nenos convertérono nun dos autores máis lidos do século XX. Parte da súa obra de literatura infantil está traducida para o galego: "Charlie e a fábrica de chocolate" (Xerais, 2005),"Charlie e o grande ascensor de cristal" (Xerais, 2005), "As bruxas" (Xerais 1989, 2003), "Danny, o campión do mundo" (Xerais 1989, 2003), "Iago e o pexego xigante" (1990); "Matilda" (1993), "O dedo máxico" (1996) e "A marabillosa medicina de George" (Xerais 2004).

Biografía del autor

Sibéal Pounder había trabajado en el Financial Times. En la actualidad escribe sobre brujas fabulosas y sirenas maravillosas. Brujas a la moda fue una de las obras nominadas al Waterstones Children's Book Prize y al Sainsbury's Children's Book Award.
