WOODY ALLEN es escritor, director y actor. A los quince años empezó a escribir gags para la prensa y posteriormente trabajó como humorista de monólogos. Es autor de varios libros de relatos con la ciudad de Nueva York como escenario de sus enredos. Es un ferviente apasionado del jazz y un entusiasta de los eventos deportivos. Vive en la zona del Upper East Side de Manhattan con su esposa, Soon-Yi, con quien lleva casado más veinte años, y sus dos hijas, Manzie y Bechet. Según sus propias palabras, lamenta no haber hecho ninguna gran película, aunque asegura que lo sigue intentando.
