CHETNA MAROO nació en Kenia y creció en el Reino Unido. Sus cuentos han aparecido en revistas como The Paris Review, The Stinging Fly o The Dublin Review. En 2022 recibió el Premio Plimpton. Su primera novela, ¡ Western Lane /i , traducida a una decena de lenguas, fue nominada al Women's Prize for Fiction y finalista del Premio Booker en 2023.
