Edmund Wilson (Red Bank, Nueva Jersey, 1895 - Talcottville, Nueva York, 1972), escritor, crítico literario y ensayista, fue una figura prominente del panorama intelectual de su época. Sus artículos contribuyeron a divulgar las obras de los escritores de la generación perdida, particularmente Ernest Hemingway y Francis Scott Fitzgerald. Fueron muy influyentes sus obras de crítica literaria, como El castillo de Axel (1931) y La herida y el arco (1941), y sus ensayos históricos, como Hacia la estación de Finlandia (1940), publicado recientemente por RBA. Destaca también su polémica obra de ficción Memorias del condado de Hecate (1946).
