Lucy Caldwell (Belfast, 1981) és una de les veus més importants de la literatura irlandesa actual. És autora de tres novel-les, dos llibres de relats, diverses obres teatrals i drames radiofònics, així com editora d'un llibre de relats curts d'autors i autores irlandeses que és una mostra de l'estat actual de la literatura irlandesa. Ha estat guardonada amb el premi Dylan Thomas, el Rooney Prize de literatura irlandesa o el George Devine, entre molts d'altres. El 2018 va ser nomenada membre de la Royal Society of Literature.
