x{0026}lt;p Tom Sharpe (1928-2013) nació en Londres y se educó en Cambridge. En 1951 se trasladó a África del Sur, donde vivió hasta 1961, fecha en que fue deportado, regresando a su país, donde se dedicó únicamente a escribir. En 1995 se trasladó a Llafranc, un pueblecito del Ampurdán donde residió hasta su fallecimiento. Sus lectores se cuentan por millones en el mundo entero y goza de la merecida reputación de ser el novelista más divertido de nues tros días (The Times).
